Holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cairo University (1984), MA in Management of Construction Companies from the Bartlett School, College of London, United Kingdom (1987), in addition to numerous management certificates from top business schools.

He is the Chairman and CEO of SIAC Industrial Construction and Engineering Company, in addition to being the chairman and board member in several affiliated companies as well as public and private associations.

He is a board and founding member of the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council; founder and ex-Chairman of the supervisory board of the Egyptian Junior Businessmen Association (EJB); member of the World Economic Forum; board member of the Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA); board member in the Export Development Fund, and a member in many other organizations and associations.
