SIAC Industrial Construction and Engineering Company was established in 1986 as a general construction contractor. Over the years, the founders had the vision of building up a group, which encompasses a number of diversified integrated and specialized companies engaged in related construction, building materials industries, energy, investment and development activities. The result was SIAC Holding - a strong group of business units, partnerships and alliances created to deliver a complete well integrated solution with utmost value to its customers.

During the same year, Elmagmoah was founded for the development of real estate projects. In 1997, the company New Cities was launched, for the production of ready-mix concrete and construction equipment renting. This was followed by the first large scale industrial zone in Egypt, established together with a group of leading Egyptian industrialists, Banque Misr and selected financial institutions in 1998 to form GSDC – The Gulf of Suez Development Company.  During that same year, SteelTec for the management, fabrication, erection, QC inspection and testing for steel structure projects was created.

In 1999, Integrated was established, for the design and execution of top quality finishing and interiors. Later in 2002, the international company that specializes in the field of electrical and mechanical work, Drake and Scull Egypt was formed as a daughter company to the UK based EMCOR Drake and Scull International. This was followed by Sphinx, formed in 2003, for granite and marble industries.

In 2007, a private sector company licensed to own, construct, develop and operate large scale business parks and commercial areas was formed known as Bonyan for Investment and Development. In that same year, Polaris International Industrial Parks was founded between SIAC and Polaris (Turkey), and Pyramids Industrial Parks (PIParks) was established between SIAC and El Sewedy Cables – for the ownership, construction, development and operation of large scale International Industrial Parks.

Generegypt for the electrical power generation from renewable energy sources and energy saving systems was formed in 2008. That same year witnessed the formation of 3 other companies in various sectors. Edge Industrial Construction, for general construction contracting of small and medium industrial and office buildings projects, Wajhat Advanced Architectural Products – providing aluminum wood and metal, and finally Fitinteriors, offering integrated turnkey solutions for furniture, fixtures and equipment.

In 2009, two other partnerships in the field of Industrial Parks were formed;  Pyramids Zona Franca Egypt (PZFE)  between PIParks and el Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (Spain) and Polaris Al Zamil Industrial Parks, between Polaris International Industrial Parks and Al Zamil (Saudi Arabia). In the same year, Logistica was created for logistics and inventory management.

As for 2010, it witnessed the formation of SODIC SIAC for the development, construction and operation of a world class standard business park, in addition to the establishment of SIAC HOLDING.
